Our Health, Our Care, Our Say: a new direction for community services is the UK's Health and Social Care White Paper. It was published by the Government in 2006.
White papers are official documents outlining Government policy on particular issues.
Our Health, Our Care, Our Say sets out a vision to provide people with good quality social care and NHS services in the communities where they live, and to put people more in control of these services.
Health and social care providers will be expected to seek and act on the views and wishes of patients and service users, and involve local people in decision-making.
It will build on and complement Choosing Health, the 2004 Public Health White Paper.

The priorities outlined in Our Health, Our Care, Our Say link in many ways to the work we are doing in support of Choosing Health.
The document and its guidance are taken into account in all local Public Health work.
