£170,000 for Health Projects in Leeds
The Healthy Leeds Partnership is a partnership between NHS Leeds and Leeds City Council (LCC). As part of our work to address health inequalities in the city, we have a community grants programme valued at approximately £170,000 for 2009/10.
There are 3 separate grants programmes:
· Small Grants: from £250 to £500 for groups looking to run one-off or short-term events or activities, to pilot a small project or to buy relevant equipment. Priority will be given to smaller community-based groups with a turnover of under £30,000 a year.
· Healthy Living Grants: of up to £4,000 for groups tackling some of the city’s key health priorities which are: reducing poverty; promoting positive emotional health and wellbeing; and putting prevention first.
· Research Projects: up to £15,000 for research projects addressing new and emerging issues.
Application Details
There is a rolling programme for the Small Grants programme and we aim to respond within 6 weeks of receiving a completed application. There are two rounds for the Healthy Living programme – the next deadline is Monday 29th June for a panel meeting in mid July. We will only fund new projects or activity i.e. the activity cannot have started yet. All projects must either benefit people living in the 10% most deprived wards in the country or must benefit a group classified as vulnerable.
Further information is available on each of the three grants programmes including detailed guidance notes and application forms. Please visit: www.leedscommunityfoundation.org.uk/grant-making.htm.
